Different Types
These LED Mag lights are powered on C or D-cell batteries. Depending on the size of the flashlight, it may take 2-4 D batteries to power the Maglite. Each type of Maglite has different light output and has different battery life. Of the three varieties, the 3-D Maglite produces the most light and has the best battery life. The 3-D Maglite can last up to 23 hours, although after a period the light output decreases. 

Rechargeable Maglites use rechargeable D batteries. They are compact, shock resistant, and waterproof, and the recharge option ensures that the flashlight will be ready when a person needs to use it. Too often, the lights will go out or a person needs a flashlight to make repairs, only to find out that the batteries in the flashlight are dead. This is not only inconvenient but dangerous as well.

Multiple Uses
LED mag lights are useful for homes and businesses. Security guards often use mag lights because they are powerful and last a long time. Work and repair crews turn to Maglites because they are waterproof and durable if dropped, banged, or even run over. Homeowners purchase Maglites because they work well in an emergency and are helpful when a person needs to fix the plumbing or find the circuit breaker when the lights go out.
